Creating Beautiful Bedrooms for Children to Thrive

Good Reader Gets Needed Furniture

Before

This boy was moving his double bed to the room next door.  The bed seemed to fill the room, so the challenge was to fit in the other furniture he needed.

After

We painted the room in his favourite colour of blue with white trim and found a lovely wood headboard at our Habitat for Humanity ReStore.  New pillows, blue linens and a blue print comforter complete the bed.  One of our volunteers created the drapery panel and tieback.

This vintage roll top desk was a huge hit with all its nooks and crannies to store small items of importance to a 10 year old boy.  As usual, we left books and school supplies as well.

This beautiful solid dresser was exactly what was needed for the space.  The ceramic lamp base was created previously by one of our volunteers. It perfectly matched the bedding.
