Before
This girl’s bed was fine but, with her mom’s agreement, we moved it to her brother’s room along with the small dresser that was a similar shade. So as well as furniture, the room needed new window coverings and new bedding. This girl’s love of animals was reflected in the pictures she had found to put on her walls and we wanted to respect that. In all, she would have a nice surprise with a very different look!

After
We brought in a new bed frame, mattress and pillows, plus a white headboard. We added a new white sheet set and a reversible orange and white comforter. With pink and orange colours, the toss cushions were a great addition to the bed. A recently donated desk and chair carry the colour scheme along. We sourced peel and stick frames in black and white and one of our amazing volunteers cropped the animal pictures to fit right in.
One of our volunteers sewed lovely sheer curtains with a pink trimmed tie back which we hung over a new white roller blind. A vintage, painted dresser was the exact item needed for this corner. The ceramic base lamp was designed by one of our volunteers and the colours include white, orange and pink. Perfect!
